As well as offering food to our members, the Community Grocery is also here to support you. One of the ways we’ll be doing this is through free member courses and you can find out more about the courses that are coming below.
With Greater Manchester having just moved to Tier 4 the start of the courses has been delayed slightly, but they’ll all be starting up as soon as possible. In the meantime, you can find out more about the courses you’re interested in and reserve your place(s) on the course(s) by clicking the link below.
Kintsugi Health and Well Being – Life can be tough and many find themselves struggling with things like anxiety, anger and self-acceptance. The Kintsugi Hope Wellbeing Group is a safe and supportive space for people that will you will help and the tools for self-management.
Cooking Course – Come and learn how to cook & feed your family with delicious food on a budget. Due to their popularity we’ll be running two courses for you to choose from.
The4Points – Want to know more about faith and Christianity? Come and get your questions answered on our the4points course.
Job Club – Struggling to find work? Finding it impossible to get a job? Come to our CAP Job Clubs and meet like-minded people while gaining the skills you need to find a job you’ll love.
Parenting Course – Want to help guide your children through their primary school years, and build stronger family relationships as they journey through the rollercoaster of life? Join us for our Care for the Family parenting course. A creche for eight children will be running during the class with a maximum of two places per family.
Beginners IT – Want to get started with computers? Come and learn the basics with hands on IT training.
Parenting Special Needs Children – Parenting children with special needs can be a rollercoaster of emotions and experiences, as well as hugely rewarding. Our Boards have experience working with parents of children with unseen disabilities to help them and their children understand and manage their environment, thoughts, behaviours and emotions. Come and join them as they share tips in today’s course.
Barista Training – Love coffee? Come and learn how to make it! Begin with the bean, express the espresso and captain the cappuccino!
Life Skills – Come and have fun that will brighten your day and change your life as you learn new life skills.
Alpha Course – Want to know more about faith and Christianity? Come and get your questions answered on the Alpha course.
GLOW – Women, you were made to glow! Come along and have a life changing evening amongst friends.
One-to-one support – Are there things in that you need help and support with? As well as running courses, we have one-to-one counselling, therapy and family therapy services available for Community Grocery members where you can come and talk in confidence with trained people and get some of the support you are looking for.
