Ingredients:
- 1 jar of mincemeat
- 10 slices of bread
- Butter; enough to butter all slices of bread and an oven dish
- 50g sugar
- 3 eggs
- 700ml milk
Method:
- Preheat oven to 165 degrees celsius
- Butter the slices of bread on one side and then cut into triangle shapes
- Whisk together the eggs, milk, sugar and 3 spoons of mincemeat in a jug
- Butter the oven dish and add one layer of the bread slices on the base of the dish
- Pour the egg mix over the layer of bread on the dish
- Sprinkle some more mincemeat if you like
- Lay on another layer of bread and repeat until all bread is used
- When finished, make sure all the bread is saturated with the egg mixture
- Place the dish in the oven and cook for 20-25 mins until bread is golden brown. Then it is ready to eat!
